| Traditional forms are like jazz standards, themes on which to create variations, and they are my favorite options for harmonizing with the natural features of wood. But unexpected potential and/or challenge discovered within the wood can launch me into uncharted territory with only my inner eye to guide improvisation. I bring over twenty years of woodturning experience to bear on each functional bowl and sculptural vessel, striving to make each one the best it can be. |
