Arbutus (madrone) vessel

Salt Spring Island, British Columbia

Traditional forms are like jazz standards, themes on which to create variations, and they are my favorite options for harmonizing with the natural features of wood. But unexpected potential and/or challenge discovered within the wood can launch me into uncharted territory with only my inner eye to guide improvisation. I bring over twenty-five years of woodturning experience to bear on each functional bowl and sculptural vessel, striving to make each one the best it can be.

You and yours are cordially invited to "A Concert of Small Bowls"
